The Collaborative Reference Database is a database for research being constructed by the National Diet Library in cooperation with libraries throughout Japan. The CRDP supports the reference services of libraries and the research of general users by accumulating reference examples in public libraries, university libraries, school libraries, and special libraries, etc., and data on search guides, special collections, profiles of member libraries, and then sharing the data via the Internet.

This is collaborative database created that collects English-language digital resources and projects on East Asia into one central location.

Institutional Repositories Database provides aggregated open access to Japanese academic content, including journal articles, theses, research bulletins, and reports.

The National Diet Library Digital Collection maintains a digitized repository of various materials, with collections that presently include Books, Periodicals, Rare Books and Old Materials, Doctoral Dissertations, Official Gazettes, Modern Japanese political history materials, Materials on the Allied Occupation of Japan, Prange Collection, Audio-Visual Materials, Historical Recordings, Audio materials, Video materials, Scripts, Music manuscripts, Special Digital Collections, Collections from Other Institutions, Science Film, Digitized materials of the University of Tokyo Library System, EXPO Aichi, Naimusho Keihokyoku Censorship Collection, Ishinomaki Hibi Shimbun, and other Online publications.
